Awesome, I had lots of fun with that.

A great re-make of the original asteroids, with improved controls, graphics, music and ofcourse all those nifty features you added such as "health" and "fps". Nice.

Suggestions:

A pause button: While playing this I actually had to get up to answer natures call but I didn't want to just leave myself out in the open with tons of asteroids dlying around which as you might imagine made it very uncomfortable and not as enjoyable.

And, while I was holding down the spacebar to shoot, I noticed I could not turn whatsoever and I would have to release the spacebar to turn and if I didn't it would make that annoying *beeeeeeeeeeep* sound on my computer.

Overall I though this was well done. The main menu looked very professional and this game as a whole was very organized. Great job!

Blaze responds:

Thanks, music credits go to SolesLunes, for this awesome piece. The Health was my idea, FPS's was Ninja Chickens.

A pause button, i wanted to implement that. As well as a small fire coming in the back of the ship (which i DID do), but Ninja Chicken said he was really tired, and let me submit as it is. I know how it feels to have this game without a pause button, i do. Its annoying.

Well, yes. Its... some sort of error that Windows has (i think), it wont let you press a certain ammount of keys at the same time, or it may, but not SOME keys. Which makes the annoying beep, and sometimes the blue screen of death.

Thanks! I specially overdid everything in the menu, i love how it turned out and the theme colors are just sweet. Thanks for the review, expect another one next week!

Challenging!

I thought this was really fun, easy control and easy to move.

But I thought it took far too long for the screen to catch up, like I would hold an arrow key and then have to stop because my green dot has left the screen yanno?

Anyway other then that it was really fun, great work on this man! 3/5.

PCpr0gramer responds:

thank you very much. Sunday i promise a fix on the camera. Along w/ a new level =-]

Good Sequel

Same format from your first one I see, not a bad idea but I was kinda hoping for something new to spice it up.

And the questions I thought were considerabley harder then your first one, I only got about 1/4 correct and I thought I was a fairly big Family Guy fan myself so I'm curious to see what the questions will be like on the 'difficult' quiz. *dun dun dun* =P

I had fun with this, the pictures were a good touch, added more of a visual appeal.

If I can make a suggestion how about a little *bleep* noise when the player clicks the button, to me it would make it seem more professional and with all the dull minds here on NG that simple feature just might boost your score yanno?

Overall it was alright, a good quiz game. 3/5.

WuTangFinancial responds:

hmm, ill look for some sounds like that, lol i like that idea

Not bad

The sprites were good, everything looked neat and in order the instructions were plan and simple the music kinda suited it and was a nice change from the regular mario music I see with mario sprites.

But it seemed to me like it was missing something. =/
If your looking for some ideas heres just a fews possible suggestions:

The up arrow key makes Toad jump so he doesn't have to wait for the sometimes slow bullets to fall.

Have the ground on a slope and when the the bullets hit the ground they roll down and you have to hop over them and then they just roll out of the screen.

Have the bullets being dropped at the player to sometimes be dropped off-speed (some fall fast some fall really slow) and maybe sometimes at an angle just to add another element to the game so it's so repetitive

------

Overall I thought this was just an alright game but I'd like to see a creative edge to it yanno? 3/5.

Sweet game.

This is really fun, seriously I love it. =)

At first I found it extremely difficult and complicated but as I got settled in I seemed to of developed to some strategies which helped out.

Great music, grpahics, easy to click buttons and helpful buttons to click at any time if anyone is ever confused. THE COMPLETE PACKAGE.

Anyway great job on this. Best of luck on some portal awards and maybe even frontpage? 5/5. *adds to favourites8

ChromeShark responds:

:D Thanks for the great review.

Addicting! ^_^

This game was pretty cool, a simple easy to learn game that really doesn't need much instruction.

I think it would be a good idea to have some small platforms scattered about. So like the character could hop from platfrom to platform to give it more of 3D feel instead of just left/right.

Or maybe a cool death cinematic when he gets hit by the falling ice.

Anyway overall I enjoyed this, it gets ridiculously difficult right around 1000 and I'm yet to break that mark. 4/5. =)

Kirk-Cocaine responds:

Thanks for the review! <3

A good stress relief ^_^

I really enjoyed this, the drawings were pretty good reminded of those political cartoons in newspapers that enhance facial flaws if that makes sense.

I really wanted to punch the torso or the neck so maybe adding a bit more punching areas would be pretty cool.

I thought the finale fell a little short though. I guess I was expecting some big show with fireworks or something but it was alright I guess.

Anyway this really reminded me of the early Assasin games NG had a few years back. =)
Great job Overall! 4/5

Awesome

This is really good, looked very neat and professional.

For my computer it was VERY laggy, so I had to toggle the quality myself not really a big deal but if you find alot of people doing this is might be a good idea for your next flash to keep it more simple.

This is a very good game, detailed backgrounds and unpredictable enemies along with an straight forward goal: Get the stars. =)

Anyway like all of your flash I am very pleased. Keep up the great work!

Sk8erGirl14 responds:

The game runs perfectly on any machine running 512mb or higher...sorry for any lagging...I am trying to alter or improve the code so it runs more smoothly... I learned a great deal in making this game, you can definately expect a much better one next time around, thanks for the words of encouragement, it means a lot...

f0x...

Looks great

Good idea, this game has a creative edge that most other games don't.

I like how you can can choose if you to upgrade your stats after you win a fight, adds a little exictement and draws you into the game.

More levels are really needed if you want this to have a great score, like I can how your trying to add strategy by giving the option to improve skills but I think it would be cool if there was a final boss at the end of like 10 levels or something.

Anyway overall I enjoyed this game, the two player option is a very good feature and that's a reason why i'm giving you such a highscore.
Best of luck to you and I hope you continue to make flash. 4/5.

Great tutorial.

You went above and beyond on this paying attention to even the smallest details, you even taught me a few things I never knew "pumps" shot multiple bullets.

I liked the soundtrack you picked and to make it even better you gave us the option to tweak the volume or mute it.

I appreciate you using a black background and white text because always with a bright background after alot of reading it hurts the eyes and nobody wants that.

The forward AND back buttons are a really good feature, allows the viewers to take as much time as they need and go back if they missed something.

Anyway best of luck to you and hopefully you continue to submit flash to NG. Great job.

scrimpy responds:

Thank you.

I'm working on Gun Tutorial 2
I need the reviews to make it better than this one

Rest In Peace.
