Oh he should know better... >:(

Pretty interesting story, it was funny too and the meesage was stong and clear. 'If you do drugs you will feel bad'. He couldn't of said it better himself. Oh and I like the old fashioned t.v style you use too in many of your animations, looks nice.

Thank you sir

"LOL"

date: May 4, 2006

Oh man that crazy bitch is ridiculous, the entire video clip was hilarious.
It's like the message shes sending is 'believe in my God or I'll hurt you" heh really christian like. ^_^

Anyway this updated version is much better and I had a few good laughs. 4/5.

Author's Response:

I don't really understand her train of thought during this whole thing either, glad you liked it

SGT Francessco - Ep.1

"The first of many..."

date: May 3, 2006

Heh, that was a good quick cartoonish flash.
I thought the peaceful music while the illegal aliens were crossing the border was good and set a easy-going casual pace to this animation.

But maybe have some "Z"s come out from the side of the SGT's head. To further signify hes sleeping. Meh, no big deal. Good flash either way. =)

Author's Response:

Thanks. I'd like to point out that this was made two months ago and i didnt have as much experiance in flash as i do now, otherwise i probably would have put the "Z"'s in. Still, thanks for reviewing, i appreciate your comments!

"Cool"

date: May 3, 2006

I had some fun with this, I thought the beginning was a little boring like while I was being told about this battle and being introduced to the story and everything I just wanted to skip it. So maybe adding a "skip" button?

Anyway quick reactions, cool sound effects and simple controls. The basic formula for a fun game. 4/5. =)

Author's Response:

I'm glad you had fun with it. I should really put a skip button in. Yes.

"Not bad"

Hey! I never knew you made another animation, next time tell me k?

Anyway there were tons of things I really liked about this, for starters the song and the mood of this FBF was laid back and casual almost like a stress reliever where you can escape for the minute or two that this animation lasts.

I thought the part with the robot/thingy and the line would go inside it's face and change it's facial expression was pretty cool, it stood out. Creative too. =)

So yeah, fuck those who complain that this is becoming repetitive I simply enjoy sitting back and watching whatever this has to offer. Good work and keep submitting Rslegend/_Legend_. 5/5.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the great rating, and for reveiwing it. I will try to keep submitting stuff, but I get bored making these, so maybe next time I put different stuff in. I'll probably still do an fbf, but not lines.
I posted about it the ngpd, but no one responded or watched it, so I figured it wasn't a very big deal.

Droidom Ep. 0

"Hilarious!"

submission: Droidom Ep. 0
date: May 1, 2006

Much, much better then episode 1.
And after watching this one I understand things more clearly like who the Centurians are and the purpose of Dr. Breaker. ^_^

One thing that really stood out was the camera angles. Specificaly in the first scene just before the Droid went and distracted the robots, as the main characters looked over to spy on the guards the camera angle shifted. That was pretty cool and looked very nice. *nods*

I'll say this again but this was hilarious. There was alot of funny stuff so I'm not gonna start listing it off but my favourite was "Yeah I have my authorization right.... OWNED". Haha.

Just a small suggestion:
The font of the subtitles seemed a little too small. Like the longer it takes the audience to read it the more of the actual animation they miss out on. I noticed there was a little extra space at the bottom so maybe just increasing the font... slightly... can speed up the quick glance to read the font, maybe.

Anyway this is a fucking awesome submission and it looks like the Droidom series has a very bright future. Thanks again Will. 5/5.

NSG004: Pico Jr. Jr. 0.6

"I love the sketches"

date: April 30, 2006

Overall I thought this was great, I really liked the style the backgrounds had with those sketchy shadings and the same with the 'game over' screen and how Pico could pick up the bodies and use it as a shield. =)
The gameplay was quick to react and very simple. Pico's facial expression really lightened the mood for me and made it more enjoyable. The music was a good match because of it's high pace and 'alive' mood, and it simply sounds good too.

But just a few things I'd like to see IMO:
I would've liked to see the bullets travel after Pico shoots though. Like a little black dot that just flies across the screen and into the enemies chest would be so satisfying to see...

Also more blood. So maybe instead of blood only coming out after the enemies die have a little bit dramatically spray off with every shot? (specificaly the blue guys in the first few levels).

Anyway a great Pico Day submission, excellent work Bezman this turned out awesome. 4/5.

Author's Response:

Thanks a lot for the great review.

Xenon really is a great musician.

Seeing bullets... I was gonna have a white line kinda thing, but then I though, "the bullets travel in like 1 frame... drawing bullets would just be silly."

Blood - yeah. Didn't put it in due to lack of time. But I'll totally put in proper animations for every collision now that we have the time.

Glad you enjoyed it.

review of your review:

Generally an uplifting effort. You liked the game it seems. It's therefore easy to praise. But while doing so, you bother to pick out a few specific aspects, which really brings a smile to my face.

constructive criticism/suggestions: You make a couple of points. Both fairly well thought out, well explained and sensible.
8/10

exposition of experience: It'd have been nice to know how far you got... maybe if you'd had much trouble dying... You do relay a few points though, about the general experience - "The gameplay was quick to react and very simple. Pico's facial expression really lightened the mood for me and made it more enjoyable."
4/10

praise/encouragement: Lots. And some fairly specific stuff too.
9/10

clarity of expression: You would be surprised how often I struggle to work out what exactly a reviewer means. With you this wasn't a problem.
10/10

elaboration & being specific: Where suitable you do explain exactly what you mean, leaving no doubt in my mind. And where you praise the music, you give reasons.
9/10

coverage (how much): As good as can be realistically expected.
9/10

overall: 8/10
Brilliant review.
Thanks so much!
My only real suggestions are for maybe an indication of how far you got in the game (I'm curious, yaknow?) and maybe even more criticism. But the latter is me just being greedy. Can't get enough of that constructive criticism, specially when it's as well written as the pieces you gave.

"Love the lip syncing. =D"

submission: Droidom Ep.1
date: April 27, 2006

First submission to Newgrounds? Nicely done and what an excelllent way to get out of the gates. =)

Anyway I thought the robotic themed music was awesome everything from the numa numa to Stephen Hawkins during the credits, all gold.
The lips syncing was what impressed me the most, I'm not sure how you did it... like maybe you talked through a walkie talkie or something but it just sounded great and was very, very convincing.

The drawings were nice and looked swell, maybe a little on the plain and simple side because of no graphic intense backgrounds or anything but overall it looked organized and professional. <==shading good too.

Anyway good work on this, I thought it lacked in humour to be honest however everything else was just X-core. 4/5.
btw I heard from a previous review somewhere or something your submitting a second episode soon, any expected dates?

"Bwahahahaha"

submission: Lessons In Life 3
date: April 27, 2006

First of all, the main menu looked sweet. It just looked visually appealing and made a great first impression, so yeah.

*watches lessons*
Haha, funny stuff again. Personally I thought the 2nd lesson was the best where the moral was to kill the mother bird before stealing the eggs. The spikes being launched at the guy was pretty cool. ^_^

Just a thought:
I think it would look really good if you had the camera angle move and change every so often so it's not the same every time. Like I can imagine some interesting effects you can create by rotating the camera around the clay men to make things look distotred and confusing or something.

Anyway as always I enjoyed watching your work, thanks. 4/5.

Author's Response:

Heh thanks for the review! I will try and do as you say and change the camera angle a bit for my next one.

BugZapper

"Very, very nice"

submission: BugZapper
date: April 26, 2006

First off, very addictive, the game is so simple and short that I'm finding myself going "....Just one more game, just one more game" it's like a wonderful drug. ;_;

I think it would be cool though if you added some stray bits of electricity coming from the bug zapper thingy like static or something, like they won't do anything but I think it would be a good visual effect.
And some music would be a good thing to maybe add too.

Fun game, I definately enjoyed this. 4/5. ^_^

Author's Response:

Good to hear this positive review. I am currently working on an updated version of this game and small ideas such as the stray bits of electricity that do nothing are helping me put it together. Thanks for the comment. Look out for the second game, maybe your idea will be in it.
